The New York Christian Bible College (NYCBC) is a Christ-centered institution committed to educating, equipping, and empowering men and women for meaningful service in ministry, leadership, and their communities. Founded by Dr. Rettie A. Winfield in Mount Vernon, New York, in 2015, NYCBC began with a clear vision: to make quality biblical education accessible to individuals who desire to deepen their understanding of Scripture and fulfill God’s calling upon their lives. What began as a local work has grown into a far-reaching educational ministry serving students throughout the United States and in communities around the world.
At NYCBC, we believe Christian education should develop the whole person spiritually, academically, and practically. Our programs are designed to strengthen biblical knowledge, cultivate sound leadership, and prepare students to serve with wisdom, integrity, and compassion. We offer educational opportunities in areas such as Biblical Studies, Theology, Divinity, Christian Education, Biblical Counseling, Chaplaincy, and Artificial Intelligence. Whether a student is preparing for pastoral ministry, advancing an existing career, pursuing personal spiritual growth, or answering a new call to service, our goal is to provide a supportive and engaging environment in which that student can flourish.
New York Christian Bible College is accredited by the Accreditation Commission of America and operates in North Carolina under the religious exemption provided by N.C. General Statute §116-15(d), in accordance with applicable policies of the University of North Carolina Board of Governors. As a private religious institution, NYCBC awards faith-based certificates and undergraduate and graduate degrees designed primarily for religious, ministerial, and theological vocations. We remain committed to academic excellence, responsible institutional practices, and maintaining standards that honor both our educational mission and our Christian identity.
